nternetwork Performance Monitor (IPM) Version 2.0 is a network response time
and availability troubleshooting application. IPM is part of the
CiscoWorks2000 Routed WAN Management Solution and provides wide-area
monitoring and VPN management solutions. This application provide tools to
isolate performance problems, locate bottlenecks, diagnose latency, and
performs trends between devices in the network, or the between device
linked through a service providers network. Working with the Response
Time Reporter (RTR) feature of Cisco IOS ® software, IPM can determine
the possible network paths used between two devices and display the
response time for each of the router hops in each path-without a dedicated
hardware probe. Built on Web standards, IPM shares device inventory knowledge
with other CiscoWorks2000 products. Additionally, IPM continues to provide
important SNA support for CiscoWorks Blue
